Franchise Law

Getting products and services out to customers requires many companies to create various types of marketing, sales and distribution arrangements. We advise clients on how federal and state franchise laws apply to these types of arrangements.

Sometimes this involves helping companies structure their arrangements to avoid triggering franchise laws. When that is not possible or desirable, we prepare franchise registration and disclosure documents (UFOCs) for clients and work with them as they get their franchises off the ground. We also prepare franchise agreements and provide advice on the application of franchise laws when issues arise between franchisors and franchisees.

In addition, we have advised prospective franchisees who are considering various regional and national franchise opportunities, and we advise current franchisees on issues with their franchisors.
